Updating offers on eMAG
Marketplace.
eMAG.RO is one of the largest marketplaces in Central and Eastern Europe. Proper offer management – fast updates of prices and stock levels – is the foundation of effective sales. In this guide you will find instructions on how to update your offers easily and safely, both in bulk and one by one.

How do you change the price, stock level and other offer attributes on eMAG? On eMAG, these changes can be made manually or in bulk. Use the links below to jump to the relevant section of the guide.

1. Which attributes can we change in offers on eMAG?
Below you will find a list of all the attributes that can be changed when editing a single offer on eMAG, together with a short explanation of what they are for:
-
- Sale price – Quoted excluding VAT ( net ), the unit sale price of the product.
- RRP – Recommended Retail Price, the suggested retail price. Displayed next to the sale price, most often as a struck-through price ( it highlights the discount ), it gives buyers a reference for how much the product „should cost” in standard sales.
- VAT – Value Added Tax – the tax on goods and services. The standard VAT rate is 21%. There is also a reduced VAT rate of 11% on food and some services.
- Price validation: Minimum threshold – The minimum price, expressed as a net amount, at which a given offer can be sold. If the price is lowered below the minimum threshold, eMAG’s automatic mechanism will withdraw the offer from sale.
- Price validation: Maximum threshold – The maximum price, expressed as a net amount, at which a given offer can be sold. If the price is raised above the maximum threshold, eMAG’s automatic mechanism will withdraw the offer from sale.
- In stock – The stock level of a given offer.
- Number of days needed to ship the product* – the so-called „handling time”, with which we define how quickly we are able to ship the item in the offer to the buyer. The lower the value, the better. At a value of „0” we should ship the goods the same day, in line with the cut-off time.
- Number of days needed to restock* – the number of days we need to replenish the stock level of a given product
- EAN – European Article Number – a unique code used to unambiguously identify products in trade.
- Manufacturer contact details – the manufacturer’s contact details, connected with the European GPSR requirement. To be filled in – manufacturer name, address, e-mail.
- EU representatives contact details – contact details of the person representing you in the European Union, connected with the GPSR requirement. To be filled in – name, address, e-mail.
- Warranty* – given in months – the period for which we grant a warranty on the item in the offer
- Green tax* – includes VAT. The amount of the additional environmental tax that we can declare at offer level – this amount will be displayed on the offer page.
- Product dimensions and weight* – the so-called volumetrics, expressed as length, width, height [millimetres] and weight [grams] – on this basis it is determined whether a given offer can be shipped to a parcel locker and whether it can take part in the Genius programme.

3. Bulk change of attributes
via an XLS sheet – advanced option.
To change attributes in eMAG offers in bulk, we will need a program that handles XLS spreadsheets. The best choice here is Microsoft Excel, which we recommend, because other programs can distort the sheet and prevent a correct import.
1. We start by logging in to the eMAG admin panel and then go to the Products -> Product categories tab.

2. Next we choose the column Stock & Price.

3. The next step is to generate an XLS sheet with the list of our offers. This is done with the Update Offer button, after pressing which we have to wait for the file to be generated. Depending on the size of the offer, this can take from a few dozen seconds to a few minutes. Once it has been generated, the button will turn dark blue, which means we can download the sheet.
The file can be generated for the entire offer or separately for individual categories.

4. We open the file and go to the sheet Oferty.

5. We go to the columns in which we want to make changes – in them we edit the individual rows, which correspond to offers. Once the new values have been entered, we save the file.
Not all attributes that are available in manual editing can be changed with this file. To change volumetrics, for example, a different file generated in eMAG is used.

In column N „Status” we can switch an offer on or off.
Offer switched on = 1, switched off = 0.
6. We go to the eMAG admin panel and choose the tab Import z Excela.

7. Next we choose the button Importuj XLS.

8. We add our file and click Dodaj.

9. We wait for the file to be processed and then check whether the import was completed successfully.

Did the import fail or was it only partially completed? Write to us or leave a comment. We will check what happened and propose a solution.
